Jesus did not come to do away with the Law of Moses, the Word of the Lord will never pass away and the Law of the Lord is perfect, even though none of us is perfect and therefore not capable of fulfilling every letter of the Law. Instead, Jesus came to fulfill the Law and provide for us the one and only way back to the Father; through our Lord Jesus Christ. The devil will always try to condemn you with the law, reminding you of your imperfections. Jesus on the other hand, brings you grace and truth.
The grace of God is His favor in your life, not because you deserve it (nor is it withheld because of your lack of perfection) but just because the Lord loves you so much. We find a key to life here when we consider what Jesus teaches us by example about His grace toward us and how we can be a vessel of God’s grace to others, being patient with them and forgiving them just as the Lord has been patient and forgiving with us. What peace and joy you will experience and impart to others when you begin to do unto others as the Lord has done unto you!
And finally, truth comes to us through Jesus; after all, He is the Truth. When you receive the truth, you are set free — free to love God, free to serve the Lord, free to receive and give the grace of God. Moses brought the Law and with it the sentence of death because we are imperfect. Jesus brought grace and truth because we are imperfect. Through Jesus, we receive the grace of God and by His grace, we can receive the truth. And we can share it!
