Jesus had a landmark to keep Him on course, even in the worst of the storms of life — the Word of God.
God has given you His Word to keep you on track during the stormiest of times in this life. You may feel as if your world is turned upside down sometimes, but as a child of God, you have a Book full of promises and of wisdom to keep you on track. Jesus is the Word of God, the Light of the World. He has given us His word that He would never leave us or forsake us. Since He never leaves you and since He is the Light of the World, that means you are never alone in the dark — you are never lost at sea. Just when it seems like all hope is lost, a light will break forth from that Lighthouse and you once again see your way clear. When Jesus had nothing but the Word, that’s all He needed. That’s all you need. It is written!
