You can choose not to slacken up on the work of God, you can choose not to cease doing what God commands you to do, you can choose not to forsake the way of the Lord, you can choose to never let go but to always keep going! Your work, your obedience, your faithfulness to the Lord will be rewarded. When and how are in the Lord’s hands and it is not for us to know times and seasons that He keeps to Himself. God is omniscient; He knows everything — He even knows the end from the beginning. He knows how things will end up in your life, but many times He isn’t telling! You just have to walk by faith, be strong in the Lord, and never give up.
Why do we need to hear this word from the Lord? Just like many who have gone before us, we want to please the Lord in every area of our lives, but sometimes it seems as if it is getting us nowhere. It would be easy to slacken just a bit (or maybe even a whole lot!) but the Lord says to you to be strong. Sometimes you may even feel like ceasing altogether; maybe you have tried really hard to do what the Lord wants and yet, for all of your effort, nothing seems to be changing. It would be easy just to let go, to give up. Maybe you are believing for a change in your life or in your home or your work. It could be the life of a loved one that needs a turnaround or a breakthrough. Whatever the situation, you have tried and tried and done all you can do.
But remember, just because you can’t see anything happening, that does not mean that nothing is happening. The Lord is at work in ways that you cannot even see. Even the things that seem to indicate the situation is getting worse are many times just a part of the healing or restoration process. Choose to trust God and leave the process, and the progress, in His hands. The Lord has a word for you today. It may not seem like it is a revelation or a deep spiritual truth, but it is life changing. Be strong in the Lord and never, ever give up on Him!
