The Lord is listening for His people to pray from His temple today; right now. But, where is the temple? You, if you are born again, are the temple — you are the dwelling place of God. You no longer have to travel to a certain place to pray; wherever you are, that’s where God’s presence is! Jesus said that we would have the Holy Spirit within us. He said that He and the Father would make their home within us. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19).
In the natural, you might think it would be impossible for the Lord to be listening for your prayers if He dwells in every single believer and there could be millions of prayers going up to His throne in heaven at one time. Perhaps you are thinking of how you would do if fifty people were trying to talk to you at the same time, or maybe even just twenty people, how difficult it would be, if not impossible to process it all, much less respond.
But praise God, He is God. He has all power and all knowledge and he is omnipresent; He fills his creation with his presence. If God says He will never leave you nor forsake you, then you can be sure that He is with you; even while He is with everyone else who is believing in Him at the same time wherever they are in the world.
Not only is the Lord with you always but He is watching over you and He is listening for your prayer. You don’t have to go anywhere special to pray, for you are a part of His own special people! Wherever you are, He is. So, talk to Him; the Lord is listening!
