You are God’s masterpiece, His work of art. Your life is like a unique, one of a kind poem, written by the Master Himself! To put this into perspective, the next time you have a tendency to look at yourself as anything less than an awesome work of the God of Creation, take a look at a sunset and declare it to be just an ordinary evening; nothing to see here. Or consider the vast array of colors the Lord chose in creating the birds of the air and their unique songs given to them on the day they were made and declare them to be just a bunch of birds. Look at a field full of sunflowers, radiant as they seem to look up to heaven, and declare them to be just some flowers in a field.
What about the majestic mountains or the vast oceans, the mighty rivers and streams? Are these all just ordinary, non-impressive features of our natural world? On and on we could go, cataloguing the wonders of God’s creation, things so wonderful and obviously made with a purpose by a divine Maker that it leaves anyone denying God’s existence as nothing more than a fool.
So, then we come to you, the workmanship of God, His poiema; the only one like it in the world. You are a one of a kind, special work of art by the Artist that paints the sunset every evening and colors the trees in the spring and in the fall. The One who paints everything in the purest white on a snowy morning and waters the earth on a rainy day, with all of the colors of the rainbow as a reminder of His faithfulness. You are His masterpiece!
