When you consider the metaphor that is used throughout the Bible of the farmer and the seasons involved in growing things, it becomes clear that our Creator has a reason for every season. For instance, if you are seeking to harvest a crop when it is the season for sowing, you won’t have anything to harvest. By the same token, if you seek to harvest a crop when it is the season for harvesting but you did not sow during the season for sowing, you still won’t have anything to harvest.
Don’t allow the miracle of this moment to be lost in time because you are too occupied with something that is not a part of it. God’s plan for your life is made up of moments designed by His loving hands just for you, He gives you a purpose and a mission. Many of these moments may seem mundane but they are actually miracles in the making. The time you spend with a child or helping someone who has nothing to offer you in return, or the words of hope you give to someone who has no hope. The value may not be evident at that moment but it will be clearly seen in eternity!
In the end, your life is not about the dates carved in granite; it’s not about a span of time, it’s about a lot of moments in between those two dates. In other words, it’s not so much when you lived but how you lived. This time in your life is a season; find the reason for the season and fulfill God’s purpose for that season in your life. This moment, and every moment you have is a gift from God with a purpose attached to it — make it count!
