When Jesus lived on the earth, He became the perfect sacrifice for the sin of all mankind. When He died on the cross, the veil in the temple that separated man from the presence of God was torn in two; from top to bottom. Jesus opened up the way for you into the presence of the Father by way of His perfect sacrifice. Now, instead of having to bring a bull or a goat to sacrifice in order to attend one of God’s events, you have a standing invitation from Jesus Christ Himself.
Don’t let the enemy put thoughts of condemnation into your mind concerning your unworthiness to enter into God’s presence or to convince you that you have to bring the Lord an offering to somehow pay for your sins — there is nothing you can do to pay for falling short of God’s glory; that’s why Jesus came and took your sin upon Himself.
God loves you so much that He sent Jesus as the one and only sacrifice that would ever need to be offered for sin. Then, He sends out the invitation, “Whosoever will, come to Me.” But, being keenly aware of your unworthiness to receive such an invitation, the natural question is, “Lord, I would love to attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb of God, but how can I possibly get in, what must I bring?” The Lord replies, “Just bring yourself.”
